Canada? I've solved another one.
I'm occasionally struck by this certain something about Harper that kind of freaks me out because I abhor and revile him and yet... like I say... every once in a while...
Well, tonight I realized something very revealing - very revealing about Liberals, that is. Because the feeling I'm talking about only comes over me when Stephen Harper is responding or referring to Liberals.
I mean - and no one is more repulsed by Stephen Harper than moi - it's gotta mean something that every time he gets challenged by the Liberals on whatever draconian measure or perhaps (and this is what really hurts - me) principled stand (and I don't really care if the only reason he isn't particularly enamoured of China is because they don't treat Christians well, because that's as good a reason as any other rights abuse - or should be - to not be particularly enamoured of China) he may have taken, I feel this almost, nearly, close to imperceptible nod of very very very minute grudging respect.
I'm telling you, Dear Reader, the Liberals are sunk. They defined political success for so long by selling a principled yet pragmatic image of themselves that turned out to be so devoid of the principled part that we can't uncover a single stone of foreign policy without finding a Liberal stinkworm squirming underneath it, that they actually make Stephen Harper, A-hole extraordinaire, look not disgustingly and completely devoid of ethics.
Thanks, eh. Way to go, Liberals.
