The Moon
Other than beating the Russians to it, what was the point in the Americans going to the moon? I mean, it's been years since "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". What gives?
Even those one shot flights into space for super rich celebrities that probably do more to contribute to global warming than does all the rich guy air travel to talk up the dangers of climate change and the urgent need for carbon credit emissions trading funds - don't actually go to the moon.
A few years ago, Mr. Show did a sketch about Americans finally deciding to blow up the moon. I dunno. At the time, I thought it was funny, but now, well, I'm thinking - why the hell not? It seems like we're not going to be doing anything else with it.
