WWIII
Okay. I've done it. I've de-coded American foreign policy-speak. See, the strategy of the Bush Administration is to hype the talk of Iran developing nuclear capability as if it is the equivalent of Iran starting WWIII. That way, whenever the word "nuclear" is used in the context of Iran, the American listener hears "WWIII" and dives under the nearest desk for safety.
Yes, indeed, Dear Reader, I finally put two and two together to realize that the Bush Administration and its fans in the Media have been "Hype-talking" since 9/11, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats with alerts that are only alerts because the future is the future - unknowable, and yet, inevitable.
Anything can happen and might - is essentially the justification for invasion of wherever, whenever.
It's crazy talk, sure, but you'll notice it's also the ONLY talk coming out of the White House, which means it's all that can be expounded on by the Media. The Media can't just pull stuff out of its ass and report it to the American people as if it's news, so when the President of the United States starts talking about Iran acquiring the knowledge to obtain nuclear capability as being the essential equivalent of the U.S. being required to make a pre-emptive strike against it in order to prevent WWIII, the ensuing debate must then proceed from the crazy talk talking point thusly stated.
Geddit?
