Islam & Women
What strikes me about this "Islam is the problem for Muslim women" argument put forward by some in this society is that it dismisses the many Muslim women who practice their faith because they are Islamic. It's incredibly western-centric and patronizing to my mind that conservative westerners think it their duty to save women from Islam. Why would Muslim women want to give up their religion because of how it's interpreted by others, whether those others are Imams or conservative westerners?
