Miracle on 34th Street
It's my favourite Christmas movie but as much as I like Mr. Galey, I'd like the ending better if he and Maureen O'Hara just got married and stayed in the apartment in downtown New York with that great view and she kept her job at Macy's and could still wear those smart outfits to work and be all business-like-mother with Suzie so that Suzie grows up knowing how important it is to be financially independent of men - especially a man like Mr. Galey who, good guy though he may be, did quit a secure job with a solid law firm to strike out on his own and defend Kris Kringle because he believed in him.
Good lawyers know their clients are guilty and proceed accordingly.
