Nucular Government
Okay. I get the need to have isotopes for cancer patients, but I'm not so clear on the whole re-opening of the nuclear plant in Chalk River when its backup system is inoperative or not working properly or whatever it was that caused it to be shut down in the first place by somebody who was actually paying attention.
And, call me paranoid, but it strikes me that Stephen Harper is willing to go all the way to a nuclear meltdown to make the point that the previous Liberal government was partisan.
I mean, what if, in this case, the safety regulator is telling the truth about the nuclear power plant's current state of UNsafety, even though the safety regulator also happens to be a Liberal appointee?
What if everybody who was ever appointed to a position of responsibility by a government ISN'T a partisan liar and that, in fact, the odd one is actually telling the truth and trying to protect public safety by telling the truth about A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT NOT BEING SAFE!
