Define "Social" And "Condition"

There is an angry warning bark making the rounds of the "We're Mad As Hell At Lefties And We're Not Going To Take It, Anymore" blogs on the Right concerning a suggestion on page 3 of the Canadian Human Rights Commission's 2007 Annual Report: Don'tHateUsBecauseWe'reAllPowerful

The visible rise of social inequalities in Canada has sparked renewed debate over whether "social condition" should be added as the twelfth prohibited ground of discrimination within section 2 of the Canadian Human Rights Act.

Uh... I dunno, CHRC. I'm still having trouble not going undercover and having myself charged as a hater due to this little snippet:

The phrase 'hatred or contempt' in the context of s.13(1) refers only to unusually strong and deep felt emotions of detestation, calumny and vilification..."

"Only"?! For starters, I feel that way all day long towards my co-worker and I only see him for ten minutes before my hardworking taxpayer day ends and his fucking the dog slacker day begins (he runs my website: Don'tHateMeBecauseMyWebsiteManager'sAnAsshatAndTwatwaffle).

But I'd have to literally backstab him in the back (if he didn't always drink on the job with it to the wall) or undermine him with actual landmines (while he sleeps if off under his desk) if he made a complaint to the CHRC about my hatin' on him. (Mostly on my blog, too, which he set up so I'd look like the nut instead of him, the pommy twit. He's the one with the crazy opinions, not me.)

Hm. I don't know if a term like "social condition" won't just encourage the hard-done-by to lay official complaints against other hard-done-bys. So that maybe hard-done-by ex-CHRC employees who've taken racist hard-done-bys to the cleaners end up being taken to the cleaners in return by hard-done-by racists who now have a social condition because they've been taken to the cleaners. And what about hard-done-by exes who've taken each other to the cleaners once already doing it all over again because they feel even more hard done by in their social condition every time they see their ex in court?

That's a recipe for disaster, in my opinion. I'm already finding it hard to walk by a British banker without wagging a colonial finger up his toffee nose, "way to manage money, limey numbnuts!" And imagine running into Stephen Harper on Parliament Hill and having to restrain yourself from shrieking in his big pasty buttface, "control freak much, ya yankee ball sucking traitor!?" Or say you end up in a grocery line behind a board administrator from Eastern Health, "way to do your job - NOT - corporate healthcare bloodsucker!"

Phew. That felt good. But it wouldn't for long if the yelled at then went whining to the CHRC about their "social condition" and how I'm spewing in their direction unusually strong and deeply felt emotions of detestation, calumny and vilification. Even though they're asking for it because of their social condition. The same social condition that exposes the rest of us to their mega'tard mistakes but makes them exempt from taking responsibility for their privileged social condition slackertudes!

Please. Think these things through, CHRC. Because I want to be free to hate on rich stupid parasitic corporate bailout slacker control freak fatty fatfat fatcats. I really do. It's all we have left down here on the ground. And, I mean, I'm going to think all that stuff, anyway, so it's not like quasi-criminalizing my feelings will make me a better citizen. It'll just be some clerk's problem when my head explodes on the dress shop floor from not being able to express my hate appropriately.

And then who will complain about whom? Do I complain about the clerk for giving my splattered head dirty looks and saying it's not in her job description to clean up exploded hater heads? Or does the clerk complain about me for splattering my hater head all over her workplace? Eh? Well?? Hunh??? Because, look around, you fucking fucked up fuckers, a social condition is in the eye of the beholder!

Oh, just go to hell, EVERYBODY!
