Calling For A Civil War
Subtitled: Why Social Conservatism Threatens Our Freedom
I read a piece by Lorne Gunter posted over on Mark "BuyMyBuk" Steyn's blog about why people are supposedly so unhappy and unfree. Apparently, it's because we have too much choice.
Except, I'm happy and free because I just can't have too much choice. Gimme choice now or gimme more choice later because I'm not going back to less choice ever. So who's really got the problem? Me? Or Lorne Gunter, who would quite happily reduce my choices in life to his choices in life - for me - and take us all back to a simpler time.
Like when the earth was flat.
Would I go to war against Lorne Gunter if it actually looked to me like he was going to have his way backwards and reduce the choices available to me and my children in our lives? You bet your sweet ass I would, sister. And I may have to because he's got the Canadian government of his wildest wet dreams in power right now, led by Stephen Harper and his New Conservatives/Old Reformers, and the Opposition, i.e. the men who run the Liberal Party - IS OKAY WITH THAT, THANKS!
Anyway, here's the piece - "GunterHearsAWho" - a contradictory mishmash of scary nonsense that shines a big old light on the goals of Social Conservatism and why we need to slap these Regressives down.
They are in power, absolutely, and although we have the courts for now, they're busily stacking them, too. It's time for a civil war, sisters.
