Off Shore Taxes
You know what would be a really good idea for someone in politics to do? Tally up all the New Conservative Government of Canada cutbacks to organizations here, and compare them to what Afghanistan is getting by way of Canadian tax dollars. Then run the numbers everyday in the House. Over and over and over. Until Canadians comprehend the economic quagmire this government has created for us in Afghanistan.
For instance, apparently, Stephen Harper et al are planning to spend $4 million (and let's face it - add a zero to everything these days, eh?) to rebuild a prison - that's right, a prison - in Kandahar. So if you lost $4 million in funding because of Stephen Harper's ideology, for instance, make some noise about it. C'mon people. Follow YOUR money.
