Owned By The State
If you look at all those American flags waving from porches across the USA from a different angle, it can seem less like patriotism and more like Americans unwittingly braying, "Owned by the State".
It's weird, the spin a different interpretation can take, eh? But when you think back to the Americans planting the flag on the moon, it was clearly to say, "Owned by the State of America", and not, "Patriots R Us".
Which brings me to today's question, "What the hell are Americans always fighting for, anyway?" Is there some master plan to plant the flag everywhere so the entire world can be "Owned by the State"?
I mean, seriously, if you take a look at the United States from a different angle, it can seem alarmingly Statist.
