McCain & Palin
I dunno, but I think McCain & Palin are taking a big gamble that middle-class Americans enjoy being patronized by rich and stupid politicians. It's possible, I suppose. Canadians certainly enjoyed Stephen Harper patronizing them during OUR recent election travesty. The cloying blue sweater, the creepy forced smile, the complete unadulterated bullshit delivered as homespun homilies.
Anyway, I figure the system is so corrupt down South that McCain could remove his name from the ballot and still win. Meanwhile, there were so many Liberal operatives up here sabotaging Dion's campaign for personal gain that I wouldn't trust that Party if it was the only alternative to the New Conservatives (which...).
Still, I'd vote for it if it meant keeping those incompetent New Conservatives out of office. Liberals, at least, want to govern the country, not rip it apart into tinpot regions ripe for the picking by Corporate America.
