Welcome Back New Conservatives - Now Off With Your Heads
We all know that Monday will bring the usual welcome to the Hill from the Media when the New Conservative Government of Canada comes back to work after a two month holiday from the economic crisis that has seen countless Canadians lose their jobs, educations, homes, cars - and any illusions that their representatives in government are their representatives in government.
So I think citizens should send a different message to the Hill by setting up guillotines outside the Parliament building to greet our New Conservative Cabinet Ministers as they step out of their luxurious limosines to make a quick dash to the insulated world of the Canadian House of Commons. They'll be slow and soft from their inactivity, living large on the taxpayer's dime, while we'll be fast and muscular, economic misfortune not having killed us, but made us stronger.
Mmmmm. Think of it. We could have quite a pig roast (nudgenudge, winkwink) and since we didn't need a government during the darkest days of winter, why not, you know, make good use of it now.
