Today, David Warren agonizes over the "Slippery Slope" in a follow-up to the uber creepy Thomas Flanagan's column in the Globe about how marriage should be like it was when tv was black & white or we'll end up with Islamic polygamists running the CBC or somesuch and, of course, eventual enslavement under an Islamic theocracy, bowing to Mecca three times a day in our caftans and burkas, and reciting passages of the Koran on street corners - hopefully punctuated with cries of "Death to America!".
Interestingly, in his finger-wagging rant against our "Charter Rights" society, David Warren manages to cover the subject of child sexual abuse (which he calls "polygamy") out in Bountiful, B.C., without using the word "Christianity". It's quite something. A whole column about the perils of same sex marriage leading to polygamy and the forced acceptance of child sexual abuse such as what exists in the polygamous cult of Bountiful, B.C. - without once using the word "Christianity". There really should be some sort of Punditry Award for such agile tap-dancing, I think.
